Too many things are uncontrollable by the keyboard. Relying solely on mouse clicks often breaks the "flow" of what I am doing. Being able to tab to dialog buttons and use standard UI actions with them would be a big improvement IMO. It would require playing with window focus to keep from performing actions mapped to the spacebar, etc.
