Ship DROPS onto launchpad- [support request 50252]

Recommended Posts

Countless hours into KSP2 now.  At one point last week I ran into this one and submitted it to Private Division and they asked that I post support request 50252 here:

I built a simple landing capsule and wanted to test the ladders to ensure my Kerbal doing the EVA would be able to get out of and back into it, so I moved it to the launchpad and I see that it is getting dropped from several meters onto the launchpad. That's when it nearly comes apart and start shaking like there's an earthquake. And, rather than settling down onto the pad, the shaking and rolling continues to build, getting worse and worse.

This could be part of the reason a lot of my larger rockets are exploding as soon as the screen loads (there are other reasons, I've found) or at the very least sit there and shaking themselves apart.

I have NOT run it a hundred times after various game relaunches and computer restarts to try to narrow it down (way too frustrated at this point).  I've got vessels coming apart as soon as they reach the launchpad even though they were just fine 2 minutes earlier when I checked them before moving them back to the VAB to put Kerbals on them.

I've got a video taken with the Windows Xbox Gamebar recording posted on imgur, but the "Insert image from URL" button won't accept it.
