Nesting of simulations

I was thinking that in ksp1 part of the problem with the time warp is that there's something different about the calculations so that my parachute gets destroyed from aero forces in time warp that it would not normally.  So I was thinking that maybe a nested simulation or three could be used in miniature to simulate what would happen during normal time while time warping to fix this.
