Heh, while I like your setup, I can't help myself but think the generator on top is kinda cheaty :D

Instead, I made a bigger Kethane Reactor (2m or 2.5m, i'm always confused about that) with... i think 5x output (and input, of course) of the normal ones. Just don't like using a lot of the small ones, if one big one does the trick, too :D

4 Drills? Really? And here I thought 2 was overkill... That's a lot of extra weight on a recovery vehicle. Then again you are on Minmus... but I like to build one ship and use it for all moons/planets.

Well, the generator only gives about 55/s, which isn't enough to cover the drills and the converter, but is enough to deal with the power need during flight. I could use a few PB-NUK's but meh, it's pretty much just a scaled up version of those anyway. The setup works and it can get from Minmus, dock, and return without needing to refuel at the station, and not nessessarily needing to only go to equatorial deposits, then refuel while drilling.

I use Orbital Assembly, so I set up a station around a Moon/Planet, then design a lander for each gravity well. Maybe overkill, but I like to tinker with loads of different designs.

redownloaded and the mod still crashes the game assistance would be good. kethanes the only mod aswell

What type of crash? With a crash report, or just a close to desktop? Because I've had some problems with crashes too and found it was because of KSP taking up too much memory. Try running in windowed and keeping an eye on KSP in the activity monitor, if it hits 4GB that may be the problem. But that's only my diagnosis since there is too little info.

I can respect that... but I prefer to make one ship that can harvest from every place besides, Kerbin, Eve, Tylo, and Laythe. and use that with orbital fuel stations. I think I've finally finished my new 0.21.1 version. I must say that I think Kethane has officially become OP. This new ship can go interstellar with half a tank of fuel.

It uses 6 small refiners and, in flight, only burns 0.26 fuel and 0.5 oxidizer with full thrust. Well, and 30.35 Kethan... but it carries 32k of that... so...

What this does is for one is dumping all ScaledSpace transforms into KSP\ScaledSpaceDump.txt upon scene change, next it'll remove all null transforms to prevent the map wobble and grid freaking, lastly it'll remove all non body spaces when you go back to the spacecenter because they get created upon entering a flight anyways, but without this they'd end up getting added over and over again, everytime you enter a flight from the spacecenter.

I love you man! Thanks alot for .dll file! It fixed all my stutter / hickups , ingame , menus and changing scenes. Almost Silk smooth now :)

Incase you didn't know about it, your temp fix seems to be sort of working for a Audio bug as well in this thread: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/showthread.php/42281-Audio-bug-in-21-1

there have been reports in that thread of it making things a lot better :)

Maybe you might like to pop over to the thread and tell us how come it may be improving things that wayt this thread is not hi-jacked :0

Of note is that it has no on-board converters. This is to save weight. This craft is purely designed for operations on those three small moons; to undock from an orbital processing station, fly down and land, drill, fill up, and lift back up to the station, which does the conversion, or stores the Kethane for direct transportation elsewhere within the same planetary system.

Okay, so, I have the steam version of KSP and its updated to 0.21.1. I downloaded the Kethane pack, unzipped it, and then put it into the plugins folder. It was fine, until I tried to launch. Then, I get the flight screen indicating 0 for everything and Kerbin has dissappeared. I then tried and put it in the Gamedata folder, but that didn't work either. Please help.

Also, if I try and get out of the flight, the revert flight button is inaccessable and once I get back to the spacecenter, I can't click on anything other than the quit button, and then I can't click anything on the main menu (the first menu that you get to in the game, not the resume, start game menu).

Follow the install instructions in the read me.......move entire kethane folder into GameData..

Anyone else having problems getting the kethoelectric reactor to work?

I've got a full kethane tank above it and an empty xenon tank below it and lights using some electric charge (my batteries aren't full) but when i click 'enable', it shows 0.0% output.

I used TAC Fuel Balancer to fill the kethane and empty the xenon on the launch pad.

The electric reactor was made with running drill in mind. Try putting a greater pull on the system than a few lights, much greater.

Just to give you an idea, the generator will runn 3 of the large drills at around 70ish% output (along with 2 smaller 1x6 stock solar panels).

The generator is actually very smart in that it will only output whats needed to keep a system running (not full) to save on fuel.

I have a bug with kethane GUI hexs. The map disapear radomly and i need to restart my ksp.exe each time to reload it.

Please read back in the threads, this has been addressed with a temporary fix and is not the fault of Kethane

Absolutely the same problem. The Kethane mod worked fine for some time - then this started.
