Question about lights.

When on the launchpad, lights on my craft function just fine. It's only after I detach a few stages, or are on the final stage and have them still attached (night time landings, etc), they will flick on for a split second and then cut, refusing to turn on again. I have plenty of EC, and nothing has been damaged. What gives? In the screenshot below I activated them, they powered for a split second and then just completely failed :/

Am I doing something wrong here?

(mods, not sure where to post either so feel free to move to better area)

I should have added that, no, I do not believe you are doing anything wrong, I think it's an issue for which I don't currently know a workaround for.  On the other hand, if you're playing KSP, I'm sure you're doing something  wrong, just not regarding the lights.  It's not you, it's the game, which is still in Early Access..

Found the bug report:

It's been reported, and is known to the devs.  However, if you want to visit that bug, and click the ^ arrow, that is always welcome..
