Loading saved game get's stuck on "Creating Vessel"

As the title states, many of my saves, both auto and manual saves, fail to load, the loading screen get's stuck on "Creating Vessel" - even when loading into a savegame that has no active vessel (like a game saved in the Mission Control).

Does somebody know what to do about this?
