Kethane mod tutorial

I just got the I kethane parts pack and mod because I decided that it looked cool enough, but I have absolutely no Clue how to use it. Could someone post a vid or a very detailed explanation on how to use this mod?

I have this mod but anytime I try to use the detectors I get an Insufficient Power warning and nothing works. What am I doing wrong?

The scanners use quite a lot of electricity, especially if you are using the large scanners and/or using multiple scanners at the same time. It sounds, to me, like you need to increase the power output of your craft. Add more solar panels and/or RTG's.
