Extremely bouncy landing struts make it almost impossible to land.

The landing struts in ksp console edition are extremely bouncy. Even at landing speeds <5 m/s it touches down smoothly and then starts to bounce repeatedly. I have tried all possible combinations of spring strength and damper strength but everytime it starts bouncing after touchdown. Is there any solution to this?
