Struts, landing struts, and all extendable parts auto-extend themselves.

Recommended Posts

When I place a strut onto a rocket or aircraft, it appears to be sticking out as if it were attached, but I can still place the other end of the strut. If I grab a part that can be extended (such as landing struts and antenna),  it appears to be already extended, but I can extend it into itself. It is like the is a frozen image of the extended part, and I can interact with a duplicate that is stuck within it. I have the restock mods downloaded,  and I was thinking  that it is a visual bug that comes from multiple  texture mods? I am not sure.  I have many graphical mods, such as scatterer and EVE, but I do not think those mods are the issue.  Could someone please help me with this?

This is the best type of KSP victory—figuring something out for yourself. I'm glad you were able to do it. I was going to ask you about parts mods—even small ones can cause issues. :) And welcome to our forum community.

Great that you figured it out yourself! Could you kindly share what your solution steps were? Imagine if a new user with the exact same issue finds your thread, but no solution provided.
