mrmoo
AeroKerb, the leading private space company on Kerbin at the moment, has declared it shall undertake a breathtaking challenge: establishing a permanent base on the surface of Minmus, the second, more distant moon of the Kerbin System. While scientists blabber on about, well, 'science' (boooo), we all know it is to harvest the mint chop chip ice cream from the surface. The United States of Kerbonia's (USK) own space program, the Kerbal Space Program, already landed a Kerbal on the Mun, but, due to further budget cuts, they retreated and have not launched a manned mission since. That was 12 years ago. Since then, a certain space event of unorthodox (the extreme say it was the elusive Kraken) wiped all objects not on the surface of Kerbin. Once the panic settled down, AeroKerb took it as a golden opportunity to expand. While it is a new company, it has set high goals for itself. Will they succeed? What will be the consequences? But most of all, can the bring home more snacks than they left with? Hey! mrmoo
Jebediah sits patiently in his Mk2 command pod in LKO as the Geiger-K drifts away. The probe will remain in orbit, gathering data on radiation within Kerbin's SOI whereas Jebediah will descend to the surface safely. The first images of Kerbin from space since the Kraken-ing (that's what the engineers at AeroKerb are calling the incident, at least). Rumours have been floating around that AeroKerb are planning a launch of their biggest launch vehicle yet, the Enterprise 2!
mrmoo
The Enterprise 2 Heavy Lift Launch Vehicle lifts off from the KSCs launchpad, preparing to perform its gravity turn to enter low Kerbin orbit. 4 Vector Engines and 2 Pollux SRBs propel it upward. After it reaches its waiting orbit, it performs a Minmus transfer burn and inserts itself into a polar orbit. The left shows Surveyor 1 in orbit of Minmus, collecting nessecary data to choose a landing site for the further Endymion missions.
