umbra humanus
Prologue 150 years ago: Quote Bob : Hey Ludrick. I have some science experiments that I need carried to the Island airfield. Would you like to carry them. Ludrick: "Sure. I was scheduled to test out the new experimental aries 3a high speed jet this afternoon " "Ludrick to tower. This is ABWCV(alpha bravo whisky charlie victor) requesting clearance for takeoff." Tower:" This is the tower. You are cleared for takeoff" Ludrick: " Roger cleared for takeoff." Mayday, Mayday this is ABWCV. I have a loss of control. Avionics are not responding. I am requesting clearance for an emergency landing! umbra humanus
"Hello to anyone who reads these logs. My name is Ludrick Kerman. You may be wondering how I ended up in this capsule here: It all started 2 weeks ago(for my time. It has been 150 years since that day for the people on Kerbin). I was one of the top pilots of the Kerbal aeronautics, and space adminastration. Until one seemingly ordinary day. I was flying the Aries 3a experimental high speed jet plane when I ran into a technical malfunction, which caused my plane to spin out of control, hit the tracking station, and crash onto a walkway not far from the VAB. I was, and still remain adiment that the accident was not my fault. Nevertheless I was summoned to a court hearing by KASA. They claimed that I had caused the millions of dollars in damage to the tracking station, and the plane. They said this, because Bill had seen me in the SPH, thinking that I was doing something to the plane, when in fact I was simply getting a grilled cheese sandwich from my stash hidden beneath the plane. I was therefore discharged from KASA. You may ask" Then how are you in space in your capsule". Well one of the sattelites in Munar orbit had detected a anomaly in Munar orbit. All of the other Kerbonauts were on vacation for khristmas so me, and my colleauges were the only kerbals on hand." I will continue my story in the next log seeing as it is already midnight on Kerbin."
umbra humanus
Log 2: Quote Mission log: y1 day 14 mission time. Year unknown. This capsule has been floating in space for 2 weeks(my time). To anyone listening to this log let me continue to tell you how I got here. After the anomaly was detected we thought it was just a simple sattelite glitch, but we sent the kerbal X just to investigate: It was to be my last mission before being dismissed from the space program for an accident that was not my fault to begin with. They had another kerbal, who was not as decorated as I was, but was not about to be dismissed. Instead they chose me. Me. The first kerbal to land on Minmus now fallen to this: accepting a mission given to me out of pity. Jebediah, who told them that the accident had been my fault . It was he who appointed this as a "pity mission". Shortly after arriving in the Mun's SOI the sensors began picking up an anomaly as well. We were set to rendevous with the anomaly one hour later. Unfortunately the anomaly caused a glitch causing the engines to burn the rest of their fuel, and causing such structural stress that the stage ripped away from the capsule. This sent us on a trajectory set to encounter next with Kerbin in 15 years. This capsule only has enough food and water to support three people for 10: After the incident we recieved some strange radion transmissions from Kerbin about advanced engines hundreds of years beyond our technologies being created. We deduced that we had been flung into the future. Our scientist, Jonkin calculated that the anomaly had sent us 150 years into the furure. End of log 2. umbra humanus
Quote Log 3 Log: Ludrick Kerman . Date: unknown. After the encounter with the strange anomaly we had been having issues with our pod's built in antenna so we had Corman take a look. After that we had a malfunction which caused our pod to start spinning, and it knocked Corman unconcious. The injury was so bad that he did what kerbals normally do when they are seriously injured, and went into a long 1 week healing coma. We thought he had poofed, but he had actually been unconcious for a week. Imagine our surprise when 1 week later he rendezvoused with our vessel: But his jetpack did not have enough fuel to get him onto the ladder so we sent Jonkin to get him onto the vessel. Unfortuneately that did not go as planned, and he accidently severed a life support line in his spacesuit, which caused him to go into a spin, and we realized it was hopeless. So Jonkin went sadly back to the ladder. Log end
