My module has a similar config setting... change it from 5 to 8 or something and it should work... It's good to hear that it's working. Once you launch the carrier get it out in the ocean about 1/2 way to the island (with the runway), as you don't want it impacting your ability to launch more things. :)

The mini sub middle part doesn't seem to properly connect to the front portion...it kinda goes ghost in the SPB, even though it snap fits to the node of the front portion without issue.

EDIT: Figured out a workaround: Just make it the first part in the assembly.

I see this. I'll check the part setup. Thanks.

Another stupid question from me, where is the entrance hatch to the sub, im trying to evacuate a sunken sub's crew onto another submarine, but cant find the way out, i've tried climbing to the top but can't find any way out from there.

I'm probably missing something really obvious, but is there any reason why my camera becomes frozen when I launch my sub from the hangar? Makes it awful hard to pilot. :c

Let me know what you're running and what other mods you have. The camera shouldn't lock.

It's an all-stock (except for this mod) install, on my laptop. 0.21.1. Might just be my laptop's problem, so I'll have to try on my main desktop.

I somehow cannot activate the EVA-Jetpack in space anymore since I installed R4; on Kerbin it still works fine however.

This seems to be caused by the current version of shiplanded.dll, replacing it with the old version (from R3) fixes the jetpack but breakes walking on shipparts (inside the Submarine on the carryer (tested with R35 Grashopper and R4 Barracuda Mk2)).

I'm sure I had tested the pack in space... does it work again if you press the - or + on the keypad? this toggles walk or swim. Let me know and I'll do more extensive tests.

Thanks! :)

Just got your new pack, and I have noticed a bug. it seems whenever you select the minisub bow as a command pod in the editor, the sky outside goes grey and a blue square appears when you look from above. Does anyone else get this?

Get ready for a triple post, but I was playing around with the missiles and found that if you activate manual detonation, the missile disappears but the engine effects are still there and the camera follows it

Unfortunately that doesn't fix it when not on the ladder anymore; when pressing + or - in space I only get a message "Boatparts EVA edits disabled when under 0.98 atmospheric density!" But when I press +/- on the ladder, than let go, and than press R the jetpack works; it's unintuitive but a working solution! Thanks!

The Spaceport file has been updated to correct 2 issues.

1) the Micro-Sub center section wouldn't attach to itself lengthwise - Fixed

2) the camera/walking&swimming code had some loopholes that needed correcting - Fixed

Bonus: created a new part last night, a saddle float tank, add it to the sides of a micro-sub to increase it's float.

*Sigh* ......

Just to note: I have no ill will towards you Infinite

Okay, so. If I remember correctly, when that poll came out, submarine parts weren't really on many peoples minds. It was usually between those Naval Aircaft parts or weapons. Only until recently has the submarines gained some more favor, yet even still, weapons had the majority vote, regardless that the its by two.

I mean, am I wrong to feel a tinge of disappointment/frustration when the latest release is a sub with missile when it seems like a lot more people were excited about having those battleship guns or F-18 styled parts? If people really wanted subs, then why not download the awesome sauce that Hooligan Labs has? I'm saying its easier to make a sub than a battleship now (Who would of imagined this all happening in KSP of all games!). It just really urked me that you just went ahead and focused more on that side project than what people, at least the way I perceived it, wanted something else. It would be a different story if you had just released it without, you know, making a poll, which was pretty much pointless by the looks of it. Really, why have a poll if you are just going to go ahead and make what you want? I'm not at all saying your required to appease the fans all the time, but I would assume that the whole point of the poll was to see what the fans really wanted, and after being open forever with no real definite closing date or cut off (another odd issue to be found), it seemed to be almost disregarded entirely. Even when Naval Aircraft parts was winning the polls by a longshot, you were posting update pictures about subs. Even when weapons was pulling ahead, and currently maintaining a lead, you release some sub parts and a missile. Not to say that they aren't cool, just, well, I hope you get it by now.

Short version for those who refuse to use the shift key or read:

-Infinite releases poll to decided next step

-Sub Parts remain for the most part the least popular

-Infinite seemingly ignores poll, works on and releases Sub Part Pack

Da Faqu?

Bear in mind that polls here are to simply gauge overall opinion - in reality, the final decision as to what to release and when to release is at the add-on author's own discretion.

This isn't supposed to be a democracy or a Shareholder's AGM.

Sadly words fail me right now, so allow me to provide you with a diagram.

---Update---

Okay, sorry for my lack of response, I was away from the computer. Anyway

Why would you need to gauge the overall opinion if it doesn't matter to you anyway? "In reality", this had become a very popular add-on among the community, that carries some weight to it. So when the creator releases a poll asking what direction this will go in, wouldn't be fairly reasonable to assume that he gives half a flying monkey about what the many fans want?

Okay, so, once again, why have the poll in the first place?

There's no need to insult others with memes and "clevur" [sic] diagrams - I understood your point quite well, but simply disagree with it.

It's quite possible (and reasonable) that whilst the poll was running, InfiniteDice found that he was making more headway into polishing off the submarine parts and functionality compared with his other WIPs. Simply throwing more programming / modelling hours towards something making less progress when you've got something else already ready to release isn't an efficient use of time.

ASIDE - I myself recently ran a poll regarding window arrangements for my FusTek station parts, where most people voted for one particular configuration I didn't really like and ultimately rejected. Far from being a complete waste of a poll, I now knew that the often-request planetary habitat variant would require much more thought than simply rearranging windows.

At the end of the day, consider it a privilege that add-on authors are even maintaining their work for *you* to use, not a right.
