shand
start by looking in the Support Forum "How to" is not the place for such things.there are several quick fixes that may help listed in the various stickied threads there. first off make sure you have the ksp folder in a "non windows" folder IE: not in users (including desktop) or any other windows created folders. dont know about program files, but mine is in the first level of the drive.once you have done all the tips in those stickied threads, then post the problem in detail, give your specs (preferably a dxdiag) and hope its a solveable issue! lump
Its to do with ram, i had this problem when i had two and then 3 gigs of ram, it's to do with loading certain textures before deleting others overflowing your ram. how i fixed it was turn the terrain render to fastest, if that doesn't work just keep on turning the settings sown (starting with terrain settings) until it stops crashing
Ringer
I have a startup issue and the inexplicable fix is focus. KSP MUST have window focus at the moment it switches from the fadeout of the Squad logo to the loading screen (art of Bob, Jeb and Bill). If it doesn't, it crashes without exception. If it does, I have no problems. In other words, as long as I'm not tabbed out when the load bar appears, I'm cool. You can then tab out to other windows while it loads, or even for a few seconds while the Squad logo fades in and out.

shand
same, i never really figured that was a bug though i suppose it is.It MAY be a RAM problem. but its best to check all the support thread solutions before assuming. we need specs + crash log before we can even start to help MOD: probs best to move this to support
