can't transfer fuel...

Hi all,

One of the first things I did was compile MechJeb 2.0 as those people on youtube make orbital mechanics look really easy and it really really isn't...

So in quick order I managed to get modest station assembled in orbit (till I managed to end the flight thinking I was ending a solo capsule instead *sigh* but that's another story)

Anyhow any time I try to transfer fuel nothing happens when I alt - click - not even some pop up to tell me why not! In some cases the only thing separating two RCS tanks is a capsule and docking rings all of which are cross feed compatible ??

I even booted windows and after some 40 mins of updating and generally thrashing the hard drive got to actually use the machine so I could verify that the behaviour is the same there too, so I'm obviously doing something wrong!

Anyone any ideas ?

BTW I have to say what a great game, sure the editor and other aspects have their quirks and can be a PITA but wow the actual functional things you can build and operate - amazing!

Did you do Alt + Right click?

yeah tried Alt + right click, Alt + left click, Meta - right click, meta - left click, Alt-gr, ctrl, shift..... etc etc

but yeah I could have been clearer in the post by click I meant right click!!!

Alt + right click should do the job so it's strange.

I would suggest making a post in the Support forum, that's the best place for something like this

If you're on Linux I believe the Modifier key is right shift rather than alt by default (It's in settings).

Just to be clear, you need to alt-rclick on BOTH of the tanks involved in the transfer. They should both be showing their fuel levels when you initiate the transfer. If that's what you're already doing then there's definitely some problem. Good luck!

Apparently many distros reserve alt for the use of the operating system.

ya know I bet thats why Alt-f2 opens the run as dialog instead of the debug window...

The alt key on linux is like the windows keys for pc, but it can be remapped very easily through the system settings so you can return its default use to as if it was on a windows.
