How to select an object in map view?

I read that you can double click or just click something in orbital map view to change to it, but it's not working for me. What do I need to do?

it should work like that but its got a bit buggy recently. the easiest thing to do is go to the tracking station and select it from there.

Also if you click frantically on it like a madman that will sometimes work.

I find myself double right-clicking to transfer focus from the map.

It lets you select stuff from the map screen a LOT easier (especially if you have a lot of debris cluttering the orbits). After installing it there will be a triangle in the bottom left of the map screen that opens a menu to select your ship for target or to switch to. Excellent as 0.19 introduced a bug in the double clicking on the map screen that means it doesn't work right now.
