So i have to deem the Tortoise impossible for me to get up into space due to computer limitations. I can not put enough parts on it without the game crashing.
Can't make it, or can't fly it? If you can make it, I can likely fly it, I've got a decent computer that I've just built.

Another problem is, the launch stage tends to randomly break apart in some points unless it flies painfully slow, meaning that flying it will not only be laggy as heck, but also very difficult. I think i am just going to set the Tortoise a side and work on the baby turtle drones that was meant to go with it.

Would someone remind me what the heck a shock wobble warhead is? And what it does? It sounds sort of like the burst missiles of Ace Combat. Speaking of which, I would like to know whether such a weapon could be made in KSP.

Instructions.

1 Rove around

2 Change some tires

Launch

3 Take control of the missile probe

4 Throttle up full

5 Stage

6 Let the first stage fire out (1-2 secs) and stage again

7 Stabilize the rocket before it collects too much speed.

8... Stage as something burns out.

Control groups (firing the warhead)

1. Aim

2. CTRLG 1 Arm warhead (disables nuclear engine)

3. Throttle up fully

4. CTRLG 2 Fire (decouples and activates the warhead)

About 150 parts, got it into orbit without too much trouble, pulls up horribly until you move around some of the excess fuel. No weapons yet, but I can put some rockets on the sides. Haven't named it yet, but I was thinking of calling it the "Schiavona".

Gn-21A Gunship

The Gn-21 is designed as a strike frigate and escort craft for colony missions. It makes an excellent alternative for companies who cannot afford the larger Co-21D and functions in a similar way. It carries 7 guided missiles and two 'MAC' Rounds. The armour is similar to that of its larger cousin so it can take heavy damage.

The Wasp Mk 1 is designed as a heavy fighter. Armed with 4 dumb rockets and 2 guided missiles. It comes with an abort system. Craft file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/n3h9yvfxbn9po7p/Wasp%20Mk%20I.craft

It weighs about 24 tons and it gets 2000 delta v when fully equipped and is propelled by 2 ion engines and one LVT-45. Images of part of the testing: http://imgur.com/a/2EFPX.

Hot keys: 1-2 decouple the guided missiles. 3-6 fire the rockets. 7 toggles the 45 and 8 toggles the ions. 9 decouple the parachute. 0 toggles the solar panels.
