One of my friends will occasionally ask me how my cosmonauts/soviet space program are getting along, after hearing me describe my early flights.

Watch out, this thread might run afoul of the forum's "No Conspiracy Theories" rule.

That being said, however, one could argue that the entire early Soviet space program could be considered a conspiracy due to it's secrecy. Though, think that rule might have been put in place to keep the Moon-Hoaxers and Nibiru-loonies off the forums.

I think its to keep the moon people off, But this could be considered a conspiracy. If the mods find it as a conspiracy then they may shut it down. This also reminds me of my first and only moonshot yet. My lander went towards the moon after I intercepted. Little did I know I didnt have enough fuel to get onto orbit or land. He crashed into the moon and never was seen again.

On another note who knows how many cosmonauts died during the early USSR space program, they were very hush hush about things.

It's hard to keep an orbital launch "hush hush", and a lot of soviet accidents are perfectly well documented, so I doubt there are any cosmonaut deaths that we don't know about by now.

This. If there are any covered up losses, they probably happened on ground. Except the Lunochod dwarf. That one sounds perfectly valid.
