Need help with returning back home

Hey guys, it seems that I cant find a tutorial on youtube on how to lunch from lets say, Mun, and make my way back to Kerbin.

I can handle creating maneuvering nodes to Mun, but when I am trying to do it the other way around I just fail...

Can someone like... make a video on how to "go back home" from other planets?

Cheers :)

TL;DR version of getting back from Mün is as follows:

Establish a low Münar orbit (the lower the better - it's more efficient).

Zoom out, note the Mün's orbit. It's orbiting Kerbin anticlockwise. You want to burn so as to drop out on the trailing edge of that orbit. If the Mün was a comet, you'd want to escape its influence at its tail.

So, to do that, start a prograde burn just as you pass the "bow" of the Mün's orbit, I.e. as you cross the white orbital line on the map view.

Here's the magic: keep thrusting. Zoom out on the map view: you will see a Kerbin periapsis appear, and it will be shrinking.

Thrust until your Kerbin periapsis is about 30,000 metres.

Stop.

Wait.

Separate your command module.

Open parachutes.

Win.

Sure, if you want to be inefficient.

It's pretty much the same as transferring to Eve.

Just reach escape velocity along the retrograde path of the mun.

Move a manuever node around that reaches past mun escape velocity until it brings you into kerbin.

SNIP

Pretty much this

Bow of the muns orbit?

Now for extra points, do the above but without establishing orbit, i.e. sit on the ground, wait until the point you are sitting on is directly under the leading edge of the Münar orbit, take off, get a bit of upwards velocity, turn to face the horizon at 90° and keep thrusting. That will actually get you back to Kerbin from the surface in one single burn.
