Dragon Rider Capsule [0.23 (2/14/14)

The Dragon Capsule is basically the minivan of space transportation with it’s ability to hold Seven crew members and it’s spacious interior. It comes fully equipped with built in a docking and propulsion to allow it to shuttle its crew and cargo about in orbit. The Dragons array of Lights, landing gear and engines enable it to be the perfect drop pod to make landings on any celestial body.

Band-aided Solar and Landing leg animation problem. only real fix is a DEV fix.

removed Dragon Brain as it is pointless now.

Changed some engine power and the like.

Cool. good to know :) Will be releasing an update eventually that fixes the problems with the RCS when it comes to translating. No more flipping and spinning for no reason :D Thanks C7

Hush! Don't say that! Every modder needs pats on the shoulders from everyone, to get the motivation to create something better, and better, and better... Of course that's why I always tried at school to avoid getting an A+, it's too lonely and depressing at the top when you could have gotten a B, a girlfriend and a life.

My point is that you've done a great job, you've got yourself an A+. Now go do more modding! Transcend yourself: stagnation means decline. Go for the next A+!

Is the IVA complete for this model yet? I remember it not having any textures.. Either way, great video... I've used this in the past but it got lost on the wayside when I slimmed down my game to trim load times, about to go re-download..

Think you could add parachutes for easier landing?

Or you could simply add radial parachutes to the capsule on your own and save yourself a lot of time.

If you use MechJab, it can do perfect pinpoint powered landings. No need for parachutes.

Apparently you do not understand the difference between "easier to land" and "pinpoint landing". I meant that it would be easier to just kill your horizontal speed with parachutes than with the built-in thrusters, the atmosphere should be taken advantage of.

What is the "trunk" beneath the Dragon pod? I don't recognize it from anything I've seen before.

It works fine mostly fine. The only issue I had -- and I'm not even sure it's a new issue -- is that if you're building the Dragon from scratch, it's tricky to attach the Dragon Brain, as no attachment node shows up on the top of the capsule. You've got to fiddle with it until it grabs an attachment that's apparently underneath the docking port.

Other than that, I had no problems. Except for running out of power in the vicinity of Minmus because I had the ship pointed in the wrong direction... (Stupid solar panels that can't rotate 360 degrees... :) )

EDIT: I can't get the Dragon Beak to load, either.

This is by far my favorite Mod......but .20. killed it...any word or help on how to fix it?:( the nose cone is gone, the solar panel covers don't match up. i had a lot of can not load certain items.

To fix the nose cone issue, edit the CFG file and replace "module = part" with "module = Part". It looks like 0.20 is picky with upper/lower case.

To fix the solar panel covers issue (and any other attachment node problems in 0.20), add the line "scale = 1" to all of the CFG files.

My Dragon is heavily modded with cfg file edits, but it works perfectly. After resizing it to 2.5m ("rescaleFactor = 1"), this is what it looks like on top of the fully reusable Laztek Falcon 9:

Awesome. I was futzing around last night trying to fix these, and couldn't figure it out.

The capsule itself works fine in .20 -- it's mainly the trunk items that are wonky.
