I believe that after the new transfer to git, update times were meant to be more frequent, less content-rich updates.

You have done significant work on flag placement, so why not release the flag placement as soon as it is done? It would add a small but fine touch to the game, and satisfy your playerbase.

Eh. I stopped playing KSP so I could make a new profile and mark were I landed on the moon. Sort of a lame excuse, but still, thats the reason.
