Greetings,

I have looked at a few things and all the buzz about V25 - looks kool and I am downloading now.

Not sure when I am streaming yet but also keep tabs on my website I will post the MODS that I use there (when I can get to it !). It will probly just be a repositary of what MODS I use anyways and nuthin more as I do all my Roleplay right here on KSP forums !

I dont run FSX Virtual Navy due to lack of interest and time constraints; all of our KSP space engineers and pilots have passed Naval Aviation with flying colors !

Hello,

Well I have a couple days left before next week so I am doing this.

I am making a few videos on updating my tech tree for career mode v25; tree-edit and tree loader dont work so I go back and run v24 with the same mods, save the working tree and port it over to V25 - piece of cake since I most of my tree saved !

I am running v24 and going over it; then later tonite hopefully starting v25 missions.

You can imagine being in a computer isnt like it was for me anymore; I need to work on my research at home but I wanted to get this started so I wouldnt have to worry about it later.

I am probly not doing any roleplay this trip.

Hello,

She calls herself the Rose Petal ... she always brings a smile in the worst if times and hardly ever breaks down; we had a little breakdown today and me well you all know how that goes.

I made a few stream videos working on porting my V24 Tech Tree over to V25; well it is almost done and I am running a few simulations tonite - remembering always to look up but also inside; for sometimes the brightest stars are right with you.

I spect I wont be streaming after tonite I want do do some things this weekend and next week will be tough...

I know the stars watch us all ... it is good to hope for this ...

Thank you all for your support and I will keep you all posted...I am demoting myself for awhile ...

I am not sure about doing up my Fanworks writing-storylines (RPG) I havnt felt all that great...I think the challenge of KSP will be quite enough for me as I want to divide my time into a few other MMOS as well - that plus TV and family time.

I am glad I have tried KSP's new Science functions and know how to make Career Trees; well I hope this is still possible as I am sure it is; I always seem to start things over and over again but in v24 I have a few space stations out there - did alot of docking - sent probes out of Kerbin orbit - visited a few asteroids...KSP is great ...

Now...storywise we know we have a window of 15 Kerbin days before we must monitor asteroid close encounters.

We know we have made several gains in early exploration those early KSP days of v24...unfortunately we may seem to find the KSC is not what it once was...many of our previous contracts and clients have taken a break and as such our facilities may have been rendered...well...perty sad.

We dont know the full extent of the problems, but as soon as the mods and tree begin to be in working order, let the streams and totally new missions begin ...I hope to stream tonite ... but it will be mostly for KSP setup for career mode.

I will be attmepting a first start of the new Kerbin Missions using Beta.

I have added a few more mods and dlls so it may take a few starts but I am hopeful; I have tested my tree and most of the mods I use early in the missions.

I will be using 1/2 value of FUNDS thats a 50% reduction in funds recieved from rewards.

I will be moving a rover to start instead of way later because the UAZ doesnt work anymore and may be crashing the game.

My webcam may not work this go around I dunno what happened to it.

PS Chatterer may not work either I will look for an update but it may not be in game; I can add what mods I dont have later and not lose mission time !!

Ya things are looking up a little at least for awhile - I wasnt actually lookin for Beta and I saw it had just been released so I wanted to get into the action while I can.

The upgraded mods are lookin good kudos to the modders out here !

My last Career Tree is lookin good I can still use it with a few changes here and there I have to do manually; I started these missions just to see how Beta looks.

I am running about 30-40% reduced Science rates indirectly as I made the costs for Science go up with the tree; it worked out well when I played v24 so I left the Science values the same - I can tweak them if I need but as it is Science is lookin really tough to get in the beginning.

Achievements should add REP and I plan on using REP to "X" transfers as before REP was easy to get more or less and capped out so I want to see if I can maintain a good REP GAIN/LOSS margin with the new admin mod.

The missions look kool - and yes one must continue with what we know how to do to keep a sane and steady mind.

I plan on streamin for an hour or so tonite to continue - I have made some small changes but I may be able to keep this mission going as 'REAL'; I jut need to watch the availability of Kerbal in the astronaut complex as I have set them not to respawn if they get lost.

Greetings...

I plan on streaming this morning for awhile...I am still tryin to get a second computer goin to monitor streams and not havin very good luck so it will be a few minutes.

I got thru the first few nodes...moved a small seperator up in the tree to make my Kerbals lives a little easier since the science is difficult enough as it is as I about tripled the cost of science across the nodes in my tree.

I think my way of increasing science is better as it is 'non-linear' (!) meaning the higher in nodes you go the cost goes up in a non linear fashion - 25-50-150-250(I think!)-500-1000 I forgot exactly how I set the science - the flying nodes are a little easier.

I noted that you cant pass certain nodes I think until maybe the research building is upgraded - pretty kool.

I looked ahead a little also and looks like upcoming missions will be more than enough to finance so I cut the funds in half.

As I recall the Achievements mod adds REP so I plan on checking funds and REP this morning for gameplay and using that to work the new admin rules.

I want to see how REP will play out.

Things are quiet on the homefront so far ...

Tonite attempts will be made on aerial surveys - Zeta Style ... !

Also I may not be able to finish as there is an inconsistency with my Science tree and the way KSP is counting Science; I am not sure how it works !

I thought it was the total Science counted but in my tree it backs out a tier when I have over 100 Science; either way it blacked out a tier about 2 tier nodes eariler than stock which is fine; I want to keep my own non-linear tree progression; the problem is parts in missions; I dont have any yet; I was hoping for money to upgrade to get more Science available but I dont think I can make enough.

I also have funding cut in half and I dont even think that works; there seems to be some problems. I will run missions for an hour or so to see how far I get.

The best look is to be able to set the upgrade levels on the buiilding I dont think that is possible; I would also have prefered 5 upgrades in stead of 3 on all of them this would have allowed more flexibility and variation which in my case with my tree I NEED.

I will look into these things later harr ...

I will be streamin this mornin ... as I mentioned I may have to do some game tweaks and may restart the entire mission as I am not happy with the building upgrades in a few ways.

I moved a few parts up to do missions which I will be doing this morning in hopes to get more missions to get more money and hopefully this trip I will see if funds work.

In the end I may restart the mission I am running and get some funds to advance Science just to see where it puts me on my tree to help tweak the thing.

Maybe I will add a post on this elsewhere.

Hi All ...

I am not sure if there is a patch to KSP I will look later ...

Am working on a solution to get me 500,000 to upgrade my Science to see what happens to my tree as I cant go any further; looking at Contract Configurator vs Mission Extended as I want my own missions anyways and I dont want MCE to mes up my game like it did in earlier versions (sorry...I may give it a test run though its a great MOD I just dont trust it.)

There is also now a loan MOD which I didnt get but may look into if they get the bugs out.

I am more or less getting into simulation mode again ... maybe beginning next year I will be ready to start a new Story if I can get my Science Tree working and the funds issue and upcoming mission stats sorted.

I am also not sure if orbit can be attained under 18t as my Kerbals dont have thrust to weight info; yet...not sure what to do except get the funds for a Science Building upgrade.

Also the Science Upgrade amounts dont seem to be working as I have more Science in my tree than is available; I should make a post on that.

I should be up in a bit ...

Seasons Greetings ...

I hope everyone will have happy holidays over the next week until New Years; we are doing fine here all things considering.

Kerbal Space Program is a fine XMAS present for me and I suspect it will be for awhile yet - I have yet to explore the biomes of other bodies out there in Kerbal Space; I am glad I am a 'SLOW' player soaking it all in the way I think it should be; thats just me of course !

I just read about the 'Barn Level 0' patch so I am looking forward to that and possibly some Science Limits changes; I cant really figure out how to balance my game yet with this new implentation; it will give me something to work on these next few weeks til the patch; I dont mind ... all for the Science !!

So my missions have gone into simulation modes just to let you all know; I am generally streaming almost every night again and sometimes in the morning EST as well but I really need to work on other projects so I should disperse my time.

I may not let you all know in here when I am streaming I dont want to be a bore; I thought it would be god for new KSP players to see how I am using my own tree etc to make for a challenging yet still casual game; then next year when some patches come out it will look like the real mission can begin - again !

Thank you for your time and support; I got contract config to work and it will help debug the funds area of my tree now ! I figured out the Science limit is for each node and not all the nodes; that was a tricky one; I adjusted my tree accordingly ! I use KSP v24 and tree loader/editor to make the tree but for some reason the tree didnt take the mods; I reverted the BETA mods to v24 now I have to move them where I want them; all is mostly done so far (!); just waitin on Launchpads and Warp plugin; hopefully BIOMASS; I can even add a few other mods now as texture management may help even though for some mods it is taking forever to load; I will have to work on that but it looks promising!

I will post the results somewhere after my real mission starts !

For those interested I plan on streaming tonite; I aint doin up the whole tree on the stream but the beginnings of how I am planning to use it.

I seem to see there is a 'community tree' which doesnt work for my purposes; I want control of where I place my mods I think that is the way it should be and everyone has their own ideas anyways.

I spent 2 ways downloading and configuring my mods; I have them configured but I need to tailor 'em down a tad I got 2.2 gigs worth; I have a lot of extra parts I dont need.

This time I am backing up my work ugh...

I still have stream issues so it wont be until about 9PM EST or so...wish me luck...

About a half hour or so stream - I discovered some new tricks since I dont have alot of game memory and Active Texture Management (90) is not backwards compatible !

I will try to make this the basis for my previous streams ...

After almost 2 weeks of getting this game ready it is almost finally Mission Ready !

Tonite I have MAX settings just testing a few MODS etc ... I may start the real mission but there are still a few issues; like Planet Factory; I cant see the new planets and moons; I want to fix War Plugin parts and engines and Romfarer lazor parts placements; kind if hard to do when the parts dont show up in any version of KSP.

Hop on over ... I should be on for a couple hours.

After 2 months of work on KSP, the loss of 1 terrbyte of data on one of my 'game' drives, it is now GAME ON !

There are still issue with resources and some parts but I will be working on those as the game gets going.

I am in what is called a Pre-Deployment phase; setting up asteroids, orbits; money/part idea such that parts will cost nothing: I fugure an average of 20 parts at 10K apart eq to 250,000cr per node...since this game seems to be more about making money now than science I need to figure a way to make it challenging yet not worry about having to buy parts...IE node part costs go up non-linearly but that cant be modelled.

Maybe in the persistent file I can change this; I was hoping for at least 4 levels of building upgrades; since there is only 3, I will have 3 phases of money rate changes: Maybe 0,33,66% or 0,25,50 to make it easier; these rates have to be manually adjusted in the game saves when certain nodes are reached ( by my gameplay design and Science building rates ).

My stream will work on these problems...I am mostly concerned with the CRP, Open Resource etc that Warp Plugin uses and since I cant get modules to load from there Warp Plugin is on hold for more testing; I am looking at NEAR as a substitute for containers or I may have to build my own. Romfarer Lazor is messed up as well; cant get parts to load (both Romfarer and Interstellar Tree Part placement is in work).

Headin for the hills thats what Jeb says ... we got 50 Science and pretty much had to move a chute up to get into advanced rocketry just to get there !

NasaMissions are INOP so I ported some asteroids over yo harr ... now I got asteroids whenever I need em ! There may be some movement of resources/asteroids early on; behind the scennes of course; dont know if just porting asteroids from v24.2 will enable asteroid spawning; it seemed to but dont know.

Resources are the next challenge - sorting CRP/Open Resource etc; getting resources on the asteroids and new planets/moons; adding ribbons and more science ya !!!

Now it is just runnin contracts to get kercash ... I am at around $150K and need $500K to upgrade Science to the next level ... I may have to upgrade the launchpad in order to get into orbit but am holding off ...

More contract work this morning ... simulation flights are an integral part of The Kerbin Missions to insure the utmost in 'SAFETY' and 'PROTOCOL'; of importance to any good space engineer - no fool hardyness here especially when Kerbalnaut reserves are slim at best ... SIMULATIONS are announced prior to launch; if the announcement is forgotten the flight is 'REAL' !
