Hi,

Well I finally made it to orbit ... Gonna work on tweaking my orbiter; need to get a 2t payload to 100k; get to the desert... had to upgrade launch pad once but still have a 30 part limitation. Gonna stream for an hour or so tonite - also I am barely making one hour streams due to game memory so I may have to restart 2 or 3 times.

Streamin this morning ... Doin contracts ... possible lifter design ... 25,50,100,150,250,500,750,1250 Science Node Tiers ... Funds are the same ... my tree seems very challenging and still fun to play - modded heavily of course...with Planet Factory and asteroids ported over as NasaMission doesnt work; asteroid encounters added with a 30 day or so leeway and I am making an asteroid belt and put some around various planets.

Even got a mission to Deen !

1): Firespitter MOD tests ! I never tried them exclusively so here we go ! Mostly checking out helos, IVAs, bomber bombay door... Sandbox mode...

2) After the DEMOS Explosions ans Schtuff its back to bizness with contracts in my career missions ...

1): Firespitter MOD tests ! I never tried them exclusively so here we go ! Mostly checking out helos .... Sandbox mode...

Just to make things clear as to how I roll ... yes I run SIMULATED flights prior to any major changes in my flights - any good space engineer tests out his or her space vehicles before sending REAL Kerbinauts up there; any space engineer who doesnt SIMULATE first is not only a fool but just plain doesnt make any sense; if the 'game' has it, use it I always say.

Also I am certainly not gonna let any Kerbalnaut die because of a game glitch; if one is spit out of EVA goin 100 miles an hour thats a glitch and reverts or quicksaves are allowed; depending on if it looks feasible that the Kerbal can be rescued.

I have taken a mulligan or 2 and lost 1 Kerbal so far; it happens. I am streamin this morning running SIM flights to test COMSAT feasibility and Rescue Ship sequencing; I may run real cnotract flights in between.

My missions are going well; I also need to run an escape trajectory SIM.

Hello,

So Firespitter is gone except for a few parts; I may even weed those out as well.

Some solar panel locations in Science nodes are messed up but the Kerbalnauts know what they can research !

It's snowing outside again ...

The contracts are getting increasingly difficult for under 30 parts but we are still a go on some kool missions...

Streamin this mornin for awhile ...

Got Remote Tech figured out finally - decided to make a few adjustments to node placements and ranges - that is still a slight work in progress but it's lookin good.

Planet Factory is still glitchy am lookin at it a little today.

I spent all day figuring out Planet Factory (CE) today and Remote Tech the last few days...now I am ready again to press on wow what a mess it was...

Contracts are gettin tougher...finally I get to play again !! Stream is up for an hour...

Finally got Active Texture Management working - seems like version for KSPv25 works better I got about 3Gigs game memory going and I can actually play the game now with all my mods AND Planet Factory !

Tonite's stream - looking at resources to insure Kerbalnaut survival for long haul trips...long haul as in years !

I primarily use TACLIFE for all my Kerbal resource needs; food, water, oxygen, etc.

But resources eventually run out and we need recycling technologies to keep them alive for long periods as they may never return to Kerbin.

One problem is excess by-product management; if a block is filled it is assumed that excess is vented; isnt this called pollution !?

Basically and for now, Food is produced by hydroponics and other means; water is, ya, a recyclable resource although at a much lower rate; we have equipment researched (eventually in career mode) that can replenish resources.

Tonite I will be looking at these wonderful tools and possibly changing a few to meet my own 'KSP' needs for my Kerbalnauts.

Water is a mainstay of life and our Kerbals will be looking for it in space; we have heard that certain asteroids have alot of ice and CO2 which plants can use at night altho I dont think Biomass uses it that way (yet). Mun may have ice as well and I dont know how the extraxction process works but maybe I can touch on that tonite as well.

Well if our Kerbalnauts want to travel long distances for years at a time they need resources like food and water; and oxygen.

Biomass provides this need eventually and should take time to grow; say that it should be available after half of the trip time; I am going over STATS to figure this out this afternoon and modifying Biomass as to how I think it should work.

Streamin for a few hours this afternoon - yay harr !!

Title says it all ... I will be making adjustments to make it work - I hope ...

It turns out that Taclife I cant do anything with; I have the numbers but the scaling graphics does not match the numbers on the command pods (stock) IE in other words I added resource allocation max amounts to the Hitchhiker Can to reflect amounts in the command pods but cannot control the graphics useage bar.

Using Biomass then requires useage calculation adjustments to even get it to work as intended; I am trying a workaround harr harr !!

Well Biomass is a nice MOD but it's configs are messed up.

So I decided I want to produce 1 food per day per Kerbalnaut at some point, but during their long space journeys they will eventually be able to make food and oxygen and other resources in limited quantities thru recycling and hydropnics.

My process is thus:

Waste/wastewater > Biomass and Microflora > Nutrients > Food and Seeds etc

It is a little bit backwards from the original configs where they make seeds from Biomass; you get seeds from flowering plants; eventually all supplies will run out unless they can make the subsustance by finding water and other needed resources on other planets; something our Kerbalnuats will learn when they get there !!

Using the Biomass template they will create byproducts for future use; such as making monopropellant from Kethane; most of the config data is left in tact as much as possible for simulation runs.

There is ALOT of simulation needed to get the amounts right and this is what I am streaming these last few days. I am stremain this mornin...

Getting Biomass to make food the way I want has been alot of pain but I am finally getting there...boring streams and simulations to get my Kerbalnauts ready for the long journeys ahead of them.

Hopefully gonna work on the 'ICE' resource tonite and work on a viable food solution after they get out there.

Stream is up but I restart KSP on several occasions thoughout...

Hello,

So I been havin a difficult time with BioMass but I am making progress...

Microflora and Nutrients are ready to be made over the long haul...

I think...I figured out how to set a timer for food production...IE no food production start til after 90 days or thereabouts then I get 1 food per day; now I just remembered Kerbals eat 1.5 food a day so they need another process to make up the diff.

I am adding ICE to the mix as well as other chemicals for say snack production; afterall half my food is snacks so why not !!

Other fuel resources creation is in the hard configs for BioMass; I couldnt manipulate those configs so I am working with the parts directly.
