A way to only use the flaps function from the FAR mod?

Hi, so although the FAR mod is great for my planes, I can't really seem to use it well for rockets... Dunno why. But nonetheless, I really enjoy having the flaps option for the control surfaces.

Is there a way to use only the flaps option without the change in the aerodynamics system?

Or better yet, does anyone know about a mod that lets you have flaps?

Change your ascent profile when using rockets with FAR. Otherwise they spin.

Try damned robotics? Use a couple of hinges on the trailing edge of your wing with control surfaces on them, setup your keys how you want them to adjust the angle as you like. I don't think flaps will work how your hoping they will work without FAR installed however. They will probably just pitch you down into the ground unless they are exactly centered on the CoL

Yes, that is the problem that I've encountered.

And on a different note. What about parts from mod packs (novapunch and etc.), how are the wings and parts affected with FAR? Does it have the same affect for modded parts as for stock parts?
