The new crew transport version looks sweet, exactly what I've been looking for to manage crew rotations. My only wonder is with all the concern over low fuel, is this capable of routinely docking with a station at 150 km?

Well, it is going to be tight. But if you don't have flameouts you have to recover from, airhog enough, and in general fly good, you should have enough, and without having to tap the RCS to do so. So take it as a kind of a challenge on efficient rendezvous!

Hei! I have kind of my own thing with R-SUV, but if you want to use it, feel free as long as you credit the build somewhere. May I suggest the crew version is more adequate as a shuttle? A type VII, but it has less parts than the cargo version.

But now that you have piqued my curiosity I might do something just for your thread. SSTO and start trek-esque, right? I make no promises, but... what crew capacity would be better?

We have a need for all Types. But all designers are challenged to make their submitted SSTOs into VTOLs eventually. VTOL is preferred, but we'll take standard runway launch and recovery for Types that don't have one and don't have good looking candidates. In fact, I wonder if it's possible to make the SSI Type VII Gladius class prototype into a VTOL... if you want a footprint challenge. In fact, I'd love to see a seven kerbal VTOL SSTO the size of a standard StarTrek esque shuttlecraft. Go for it. You're an awesome designer. Anything you contribute that fits the SSI design philosophy will certainly be included in the General Catalog if not included in the Type Series. Feel free to post your desired Type VII candidate craft file link in the SSI thread.
