Does part clipping attract the Kraken?

Hi

I've recently started using part clipping in some of my designs and this seems to be causing phantom forces to act on the ship. Mainly spinning but somtimes acceleration or simply ripping itself apart. Is it the clipping that causes this or is somthing else to blame?

are you using struts? if not, there is your problem. I recently built a 3.75m rocket with two 2.5m tanks clipped into the main portion of the rocket, no problems.

I use enough struts to reduce the wobble on even large rockets to almost nothing. Though I've found that improperly putting struts on radial mounted engines can cause spinning the design in question has no radial parts.

In very rare cases, part clipping seems to apply a rotational force to craft. I've only encountered it once (maybe, I'm not sure if was actually the clipping doing it) out of at least a hundred designs with part clipping, though. So, it's pretty close to a non-issue, unless you just happen to assemble something in just the wrong way.

I've never really found part clipping to be an issue if done on purpose (in the editor), but solar panels and other parts that move or unfold can cause weirdness if they touch another part accidentally.
