Trouble setting targets

I have lots of things in very similar orbits and I'm having trouble setting one as my target. Whenever I click on the one I want, it suggests I set something else as my target. Is there a workaround for this?

Try the Haystack mod.

Yeah, I just downloaded it today, and it's tremendously helpful. When you're on the map view, there's another "tab" (like the navball one when retracted). If you click on it, this little window comes up, and you can search for the craft you're trying to find, and then set it as a target, or fly it.

You don't even need a special part on your craft!
