Mechjeb Problem, need help.

Recommended Posts

Im new to the forum and for my first post I have a question about a problem im having with Mechjeb. For some reason the auto ascent tool fails to do the circularization burn at apoapsis. I still have plenty of fuel left, its like the engine wont start back up and my spacecraft crashes back into the ground. What am I doing wrong?

MechJeb does require battery life. Can you start engines manually? I know I've had it stop working on me and wondered what it was, then I realised I had ran out of electrical charge.

1. what version of mechjeb?

2. are you using a probe body with enough batteries? (open the resources panel top right and check electrical charge isnt 0)

3. are you able to manually fire the engine (it may have detached?)

I'm having the exact same problem. MechJeb will reorient the ship, calculate the burn time needed, and do everything else it needs to do to fly the ship but it will not burn the engines. I am also using RemoteTech. Is there any chance that you are as well? I haven't tried removing RemoteTech but I will give that a try later this evening.

And this is finishing off an auto-ascent?

In particular Mechjeb 1's orbital operations panel exhibits this behaviour when trying to transfer to planets (as it wasn't built for that) but it should work for auto-ascent.
