Something I noticed messing around with rescale factors

Apparently, you can't make parts bigger with the rescale factor...

Trying to figure out .cfg files and how they work so that maybe one day I can eventually figure out how to do some modeling, I've tried resizing a few existing stock and mod parts for giggles and learning purposes as far as config files go.

I tried making a few parts bigger(a lot bigger...foolishly, physics breakingly bigger...because...reasons) and I end up with the part I started with the intended size with big gaps between the parts. But in the VAB, they're the size I rescaled them to.

What's the cause of this?

You've duplicated the config file without changing the part's unique identifier so the game is getting confused and loading up the large version in the VAB and the small version in flight.

Change the 'name = ' line to something unique in your new config file or modify the original config file.
