Your first planet

After sending a lander to Minmus and realizing it was vastly over designed and had a ton of fuel left, I relaunched an identical craft and headed for Duna on a whim... I honestly barely had any idea how to do interplanetary and it was total, total luck I must have been bang on phase angle wise and got an immediate encounter. I didn't adjust anything after that, so my brake at Duna was huge (millions of meters out) but it left me just enough to lower myself into the atmosphere. I ran out of fuel a mere 200m off the ground, came down hard on a very steep slope, rolled all the way to the bottom amazingly not breaking anything and landed back on my struts. One in a thousand luck all the way.

Unfortunately my guys were stranded, so a few weeks later after learning a lot more I launched an epic rescue mission and bought them home to the KSC.

Jool, unintentionally. My first ion powered/BKO probe swung around Kerbol and just happened to encounter Jool. Hadn't been aiming for anything in particular, just wanted to get beyond Kerbin. Wandered around the Jool system for a few orbits till I ran out of xenon and a close encounter with Tylo dumped the probe back into Jool. I don't consider that a landing lol. My Duma flyby had so much extra fuel it became my first Duma orbiter. The first flown-as-planned mission was a 3 part Eve mapper/PieProbe lander & Gilly mapper that I landed anyway ala NEAR Shoemaker. Went off without a hitch. And all that time I still couldn't get a bloody lander back from the Mün!

First planet I landed on was Duna, landed a probe on it. Originally, the probe was just going to orbit, but I had a lot more fuel than I was expecting.

Landing it was... interesting, as it had no landing gear, but I got it down without breaking anything, so it was a total success.
