jalapen0
Hey guys,After a bunch of searching for new games to play, I ran accross this one. I think it\'s great. Curious if there any other free games out there that you guys are playing that I could be missing? It doesn\'t have to be about space?

jalapen0
I guess I should have specifically said, not web games. Thanks though.
icefire
Warzone2100, a real time 3D strategy game. 100% open source and available on nearly any OS you can think of. This is a full game, with an extensive single player campaign and fully integrated multiplayer.Been playing this for 10+ years now, never gets old. It was one of the first 3D RTS games of its time, and has a very unique style of gameplay. Rather than have a limited number of pre-configured units and support structures. Warzone instead starts the player out with next to nothing, and the only way to advance is through research of technology. The game puts a lot of emphasis on artillery, air support, and unit design. Design your tanks and aircraft as you see fit in real time, choose the weapons, armour, and propulsion to fight your way to victory.Orbiter Space Flight Simulator, a space flight simulator. Similar to KSP, but at a much more serious and in depth level. Takes place in the solar system rather than a fictional planet.Love this game. While KSP takes a more relaxed and arcade like approach to space flight, Orbiter does the opposite. It\'s numerous navigation tools and movement modes will quickly overwhelm any new player hoping to jump into the cockpit and press the gas button to go into orbit. If KSP doesn\'t fit your space flight bill, definitely give this one a shot.
jalapen0
Oh man, warzone is one of my favorite games of all time. I love games that allow you to build or engineer stuff.
your mom
pioneer space sim is a pretty cool, and if you ever played a old 1970s or 1980s game called elite its just like that just better.http://pioneerspacesim.net/here are some screen shots
Astrobug
As said above, Orbiter is definitely worth checking out. Be warned, though, it is a VERY involved game (Although equally rewarding when you figure out how to do something right.)There\'s a really fun flight simulator I play at http://www.ysflight.com/, The mechanics are great, the only thing really lacking is the games graphicsAlso, if your into stuff like this, I\'ve been keeping my eye on a mechwarrior-like game in development at http://www.coldestgame.com/site/. It\'s not anything spectaular yet, but I think it has a lot of potential. Alternativly, if your craving some mech-based combat NOW, Microsoft cleared MechWarrior 4 Mercinaries for free release a while back, you need only figure out how to use MekTeks confusing download system. ??? Phoxtane
I hear World of Tanks is pretty good. Free-to-Play, and it\'s also a MMO involving tanks.Team Fortress 2 is also Free-to-Play, available on Steam.

You might also like to cast your eye over Starfarer: http://fractalsoftworks.com/blog/ I\'ve been following it rabidly for half a year-ish. No, it\'s not Angry Houses That Stomp, but it\'s based on the same chassis-matching, weapon-linking, heat-watching gameplay loop that Mechwarrior is. Also gorgeous and smart.
