Aha! So that's why Kerbals have such a robust space program! They've made their entire planet go green!

As for that second one, it looks like Kerbin is trying to camouflage itself. Perhaps they caught word of those weird pink-skinned "hyoomans" trying to find planets like Earth and figure they can hide their homeworld by disguising it to look like the space around them. They're in for a rude shock when they find out that "hyoomans" find distant planets by just about anything but visual evidence!

I experienced something like that one time when I was playing around with infinite fuel from the debug menu.

I had just negated all of my orbital velocity around Kerbol, and then this happened:

Evidently, I found the Kerbal hell.

After ending that flight, I noticed that Kerbin had a taken on this peculiar albedo.

maybe the civilizations of kerbin were using a similar tech so we can't see them, apparently only KSC doesn't have this cloaking device

You can replicate the 'transparent' Kerbin by Jooldiving (at least in 0.17), this also obliterates the Kerbol System.

The 'Green Phase' Kerbin has happened to me as well. 'Monolith' Kerbin has occurred aswell, it showed on the title screen aswell at one point ._. (for lack of a better emote).

I've also had this:

Kerbin's orbit was just right to enter a new Ice Age.

Kerbin looked like Eve from the right angle at one point as well, but I don't have screenies of that.

I think the best one I experienced was when I was orbiting Kerbin and my boat started to fade out as if I was passing behind the planet but the planet itself remain fully lite.

I sat there for about two minutes thinking....wtf is happening here? I then turned my view towards the sun and Mun was doing a solar eclipse.
