KSP 3D models

If i wanted to get the texture and model of the original MKI pod for a prop in 3D... stuff, how would i get it?

P.S. i have the 1.3.3 demo version on my computer.

EDIT: i tried importing the .DAE file into blender, but it gives me an error message saying "Error found parsing collada document"

EDIT2: also, i'm on a mac

Import them into 3dsmax if you havevit, works fine in there.

Take your .DAE file and make a copy of it.

Open the copy with a text processor

Find all the <diffuse></diffuse> tags, and delete anything between the tag pairs.

Save it.

The copy should now open in Blender

In Blender, you will have to find all the materials, make a new texture for them, have the texture of type Image, load the appropriate file, and set the mapping from Generated to UV
