Measuring expended delta-v

Is there an easy way to see how much delta-v I've expended in a given maneuver? I know how to calculate the entire delta-v of my ship and see various figures for how much delta-v a maneuver should take. But how do I figure out how much delta-v the maneuver did take?

You would have to look at the fuel before and after. Then use the rocket equation.

Or just use a mod like MechJeb that shows you your delta-V.

I thought mechjeb only did DeltaV for mechjeb launches? Has that changed in 2.0?

Protractor used to count DeltaV between arbitrary points so that's worth a look at first.

MJ2 has customs windows. I have one window setup that has drag losses, gravity losses, steering losses, and dV expended. It also has my steering error and a suicide burn timer. There is a button that is called MARK that will reset the whole lot. You can just click mark before your maneuver and you will know how much dV it costs you. I use this all the time to decide how much fuel to pump into my transport units since they can generally carry many times more fuel than is needed to land at the mining site.

I've installed MechJeb but I can't seem to find (or I'm overlooking) where the expended delta-v is at. Which of the dialog boxes should I be looking in?

if you have mechjeb 2, activate "Delta-v stats", click "E" in the top left corner to edit the window, go to the "Recorder" tab in the lower half, and click "Delta-v expended".

Ah. I was using MechJeb 1.something-or-other and couldn't find anything close.

I've upgraded to MechJeb 2 and now have exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks!
