Kethane Liquid fuel + oxidizer conversion issue

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, this may or may not of been asked before, I have searched but could not find any answer.

I did remember seeing something about another tank part one could download to fix this issue.

my kethane converter wont convert keth to liquid fuel + oxidizer.

the fuel tanks were run dry , but then replenished with a miniscule amount of fuel as I read keth consumes negative resources to replenish tanks.

this did not help. the tank im trying to fill is docked directly with the keth tank/converter, or does it need to be docked right at the converter side?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is the biggest outstanding bug with kethane. You need to have a fuel tank directly connected to the kethane converter in order for it to work. Alternatively you can have one not connected to it, but connected to it with a fuel line From the fuel tank To the converter.

Thank you for the attempt at assistance there greys, but that mod seems to only redistribute the resources you currently have between tanks to balance.

I need to CONVERT the kethane into liquid fuel..

wish they were coming out with a resource sooner than later. makes bases actually worth building.

from my experience, kethane converter behaves like an engine, so you need fuel lines running straight to it or a fuel tank connected.

can see you've got a rockomax adapters in there between the docking port and converters as well, that might kobosh it working.

the "fool proof" way would be to launch a rocket fuel tank with converter stacked ontop or below it directly and use this for converting.

generally for a self contained miner, i've always done this...

Rockomax fuel tank

large converter

smallest rocko sized keth tank

kethane drill

transfer the keth into the small tank, convert to fuel, export from fuel tank.

omit the keth drill and use the above as a "refinery"

I know this thread is a year old (almost) but I have a LF tank DIRECTLY below my converter and I have no oxidizer after converting the fuel. This is still a bug. Liquid fuel is useless in space with no oxidizer P8lVM4c.png

You need to convert oxidizer separately. The liquid fuel reaction only outputs liquid fuel, not oxidizer.

Unless of course you meant the oxidizer conversion reaction consumed all your kethane while outputting nothing. Then that of course looks like a bug. Try posting in the kethane mod thread though, you're much more likely to find help there than in a one-year-old thread.

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
