What the heck is the April Murder thingy

I just visited KSP forums today after a long time to check out the channel log for .20, then I saw a bunch of people with survival notes about the spril murder thingy, what cruel april fools joke did I miss?

It was a horrible Forum Kraken attack that left hundreds...Thousands, slaughtered in it's wake. some survived...yet we salute the lost souls.

The whole forum and spaceport went down for about a week and a half. When it went back up the last forum backup was in October 2012 so anybody who registered after October lost their forum accounts and anyone from who registered before lost all their posts in that period.

Edit: or the Forum Kraken got us, whichever one works for you

Wow, that sucks, Good thing I haven't posted much between those periods. Technically I do have an extra a 1000 posts but moderation took that away from me a long time ago.
