How to create flags without affecting the vanilla folders

Recommended Posts

Just a quick tip for those of you as anal as I am when it comes to leaving the vanilla folders as they are :)

Note: I am running the Steam version of the game but I imagine the process is the same regardless.

If you want to create your lovely new custom flag without messing around with the vanilla folder structure here are the steps to follow.

1) Navigate to your game installation plugins directory. (For me this is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Kerbal Space Program\Plugins")

2) Create a new folder. (Since my Steam name is GodBlock I called the folder "GodBlock" (surprisingly enough))

3) In your newly created folder, create a folder called Flags. (Your path should be along these lines "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Kerbal Space Program\Plugins\GodBlock\Flags")

4) Save your 256 x 160 .png flag in this folder.

5) Launch KSP.

Good luck out there Kerbalnauts!
