KSC Report Earth Day June 1, 2013:

In a televised broadcast to the general Kerbal population, Bill Kerman found it necessary to update the somewhat riotous and ruckous crowds that all is going well and as planned concerning space exploration, and that no funds have been used out of the general population, and that funds have been made available through the generation of a minerals production agreement between Earth and Kerbin.

Although the GSC Prime Directive is in force, some aspects have been set aside allowing for premature technological growth for this Kerbin society, as all of the historical pre-requisites have been met and even exceeeeeded (?). Some misplaced funds have been unaccounted for but the general budget allows for such discrepancies; this was not mentioned in the speeeeech; Bill seems to have a handle on that situation (?).

First the not so good news - The KSA SIMULATOR has been hacked again; some data access has occured; no serious breeeeech of security has occured though; there are some rumours and speculation...the current status as reported, is that there were still some re-engineering work to be done in upgrading the launch facility, and that during the reconstruction phase, there were some faraday issues.

Security is not of prime importance, as the facility is mostly run and built by Kerbal Space Engineering students, and for the most part, all Kerbals have a desire for space exploration; some more than others it seems; we wish to aide in any way possible; the KSC and GSC councils that is we are achieving those goals.

Some more not so good news...regarding the UFO sightings...there is some unrest as some Kerbals are feeling unsafe, thinking there is an invasion happening...because we are behind schedule in upgading, it will be a few weeks or more to assess these situations...so far any reports have been sketchy but reliable, infrequent, and of special interest.

No threatening moves have been made by any of these reported UFO sightings. We have explained that we are working on new technologies, and remote operations of space ships, so for the most part they think it is our own space engineers up there; only we know different!

We do know that after some investigation that all is well; but no further data is available at this time.

Now the good news...upgrading the facilities ! We are in the process of upgrading KSA, the KSA SIMULATOR, the KSA Observatory, building a new Mission Control Center, and making plans for at least 2 more similar MC's (Mission Control Centers, with observatories).

As the general population is unaware of a 2nd KSP LC, we plan one new MC to be located there; that is if it really exists and we ever find it; we need some planes for that or something (!); or eyes in the skies !

Unfortunately (ya some not so good news again!) work has been delayed in all phases of design and construction. However (and back to the good news!), design of the MC's and missions planning has been an ongoing process.

The last word is that LIVESTREAMS and mission productivity is at an all time low (we expect streams to be back up in a few days now); we are taking a well deserved vacation and working on other projects that also require badly needed attention.

We expect all processes to be slowed down to half speeeeed for a good month or more; this is mostly due to learning curve processes and maintaining facilities, let alone design and build new ones...and wat on earth is the deeeeel with the 5 e's in this reeeeeport...tjere must be a glitch in the data stream again...meeeeens it is time to go for now but rest assured all is well here, and...

there will be exciting times ahead for the new Kerbin Mission !

Sincerely,

Bill Kerman

Founder of KSC the Kerbin Space Council, Member of GSC The Galactic Space Council, reporting in for Cdr Zeta who is lost at sea...or space as the case may be.

from the offices of the KSC...quite informal...

...discussions abound around the space academy, with everyone wondering what has been goin on with the KSA and the latest UFO sightings...

...there has been ongoing work within the KSA and the sorrounding areas for new buildings...progress has been slow due to technical difficulties on the main frame...our technicians believed to have solved the problems (!!!) after many hours of overtime...the KSA is still somewhat vulnerable and the hack is still under investigation...we believe it is now a radio interference hack from some unkown origin, and was accomplished due to faraday cage leaks; there were no security issues, and the source is being traced ! ...

...LIVE STREAMS are forthcoming of the progress being made, but it has been suggested to wait until the buildings are built and ready for use to reveal them...the following buildings are in work:

Mission Control

MC Components: Orbital Ops/Comms

Science and Analytics

Launch Operations

Observatory

Housing, Medical, Supplies, Support

A small contingent of the above buildings will be approved for use in at least 2 other areas around Kerbin; those areas have yet to be located. We are hoping for low orbit surveilance system to locate them. This may be livestreamed, as well as some launches for other commercial satellites.

Greetings From The KSC:

As you may have noticed there was a glitch in the Earth-side comms system here today - all seems to be back in order and while we have comms we are delivering this update.

In the future should comms Earth-side be out of service, please visit the website for immediate updates and progress reports; any and all information links can be found there - Bookmark them if you are interested in following our progress !

There have been some technical difficulties as of late, and so far, most if not all issues are now resolved; comms, nav, and launch control systems are now back online; we can expect launches very soon, yet to give the best performance, we are still awaiting the new Mission Control Center; we can expect the MC to be built ASAP; possibly tonite !

There are a small number of enhancements and updates to be incorporated into the new MC, and to give the best reliable experience to our engineers, we will be doing some simulations testing during the design and build stages.

Although remote control facilities are not yet in place, and the space engineers here have not yet learned these procedures, we will be awaiting such SIMULATIONS training to be completed, and have them implemented into the new MC before launches will commence.

We need to assure our Kerbanauts that our orbital and comms facilites, and guidance and control, are fully operational. There is considerable data to be reviewed, but we will be launching soon.

Please feel free to keep updated at the website link below ! As updates and progress is made, immediate information will be available there.

Wish us luck ! We need to find those UFO's !

Also (!); we have decided, as time goes along (!), to 'showcase' the various developers of our newer more modern technologies, as our Kerbal Space Society discovers them, so be on the lookout for yours !

From Kerbin Launch Center...various musings...

So far our Kerbal Space Engineers have been working on mission control and communications building design, while also working on getting the software for the KSA Kerbin Space Academy upgraded.

Software problems arose when we had to downgrade to a 32-bit system for awhile; the results now favor the 64-bit system with additional 32-bit system support for the various communications and observatory systems, both local and remote.

A new 'Mission Control Center' is currently being built, and will take several more days to complete. We know how anxious everyone is to see our Kerbal Space Engineers explore space; but we want everything to be right from the get-go.

I apologize for the delays this has caused; we still have a primary coolant leak (or 2!) that needs to be resolved; this will be ongoing as well, and hope this will not further the delay in launches.

Most immediate mission planning is complete, and immediate pre-launch checks are in order, and final simulation runs will be done to insure safety.

Mission Data:

1) New Orbits for singular and multiple crew

2) Investigate anamolies on Kerbin - Initial planning complete

3) Anamolies regarding the UFO contacts out to the east are in line with primary mission protocol

4) Additional Mission Control Center Support World-wide: We expect to have 3 MC's Operational

5) Docking Simulations Complete - Small space station still in design

6) Observatories at the MC's in the works - Initial planning Completed

7) Updates on the websites will occur next; see link in the SIG.

All looks good; just a matter of time and work to produce good LIVESTREAMS and broadcasts of all events; there was some testing which failed; so we reverted back to 64-bit with 32-bit additional support systems.

News conferences in the works; dont know when yet.

Wish us the best of luck! Other live-streamers are doing very well out there; soon we will join them !

mission control center 2 being setup near reported sound and visual anamolies on the far side of Kerbin...

Commander Zeta has not reported in for awhile, but it seems as tho he has been in contact with the GSC, and we are told that he may be sending a live video feed of his current whereabouts and mission status.

I will inform the public that altho his whereabouts remain secret, his mission is of the utmost importance. He was captured by what is called the 'Timestream', and was sent back in time and to a place of hostilities.

He is supposed to secure some areas needed for a special communications link back on Earth, also back about a few hundred years...we dont know the particulars...but we have been informed by the GSC that he will be sending out live video feeds of his progress; we dont know when and it could be anytime; we belive it has something to do with alien communications technologies.

Altho I am mostly informed, the GSC does keep people out of the loop on some things. Only time will tell here what is going to happen to Cdr Zeta, and just exactly what his mission is.

from the GSC offices ...

The GSC reports that some information is available regarding Commander Zeta's Special Operations.

He has been tasked to place nano-magneto devices onto radio antennae of various times in history and the future around various places in the galaxy, in order to get back to the Kerbin system and to repair any supposed damage to the TSC transwarping system...to which he didnt reappear at the proper place and time back to Kerbin on his trip from Earth.

So far 2 of the devices have been planted, and video feeds attest to his bravery and courage during these operations...There are still glitches in the TSC Operations mode and he seems to fall in and out of place, sometimes reverting back and forth between places; it is starting to take it's toll on him.

The further he gets to device placement, the less the reversions will take place; we just hope he doesnt end up in an area of non-device placement; otherwise he just has to wait it out...

Currently, the missions seem to have gone top secret, and he is not sure why. All he knows is that placement of these 'magneto' devices - the total of which = 5 - must be done. He is assured of success be recieving a radio signal from Kerbin space upon each correct device placement.

We have no further information as to when the video feeds appear as there isnt a set skedule.

We wish him the best of luck getting back to Kerbin...stay tuned on the video stream site and mission status there !

Greetings From The KSC or Kerbin Space Council:

As you know Cdr Zeta was running special ops missions to deploy a special device on radio antennas back on Earth and in a few other systems. All nano-mag deploys successful; mission 4 needs a video feed, and mission 5, the last mission, was supposed to recover another nano-mag for the GSC or Galactic Space COuncil in repair of the TSCTW or the galactic Timespace-continuum Transwarping wormhole system; these devices are merely data transmitters to collate data as to the TSCTW's functions and for the GSC to tune the darn thing.

Until the last mission is completed the whereabouts of Cdr Zeta remains a mystery. His last mission was to intercept the space odyssey mission and deploy the nano-mag on it's antenna before it completed it's mission; we believe that was done.

The Odyssey ship dissappeared into the SUN so far as we know many years ago; we believe the Kerbin System is a result of the so-called Jupitor mission from the Odyssey, and the monolith creation; we expect to find the Odyssey in the Kerbin system with Cdr Zeta aboard - we hope.

Back on Kerbin, all systems are undergoing a computer upgrade; all operations have been rescinded and upgrades are being placed on current missions.

The Delta team and Operations teams at the KSC have been recalled; they will all return shortly !

Operation Version 21 is now a go...there will be some live video feeds in about an hour or so...the KSC Academy SIMULATOR will be in operation and we will try to get a new Delta Team out there to the Abzu Desert ASAP before night hits.

We may be able to port our new plane over, but am still having parts problems; still looking for some air storage on our planes.

From the KSC Offices:

Simulations tests are currently being run off and on today - there will be some live video feeds during testing.

All satellite deployments have been, well, we dont really know what happened to them...we believe...never mind...this mission is too....UGH ARGHHH !!!!

'Mission Restart' has been given a go by the KSC (Kerbin Space Council); 'MAIN' mission control is in development but is operational, so there may be some glitches here and there !

Delta Team has been recalled as you may know; Delta Opeations is needed, however there seems to be a more pressing matter - the location of another nano-magneto device for the GSC, and we know these devices send out signals when they are not deployed, altho of limited range.

We have developed a prototype reciever to pick up the signal if it is on Kerbin; the test equipment is being readied as we speak, but may not be operational for a few more days. The reciever will be deployed as part of the space station goodies, which as it seems has been pushed up the timeline due to this problem; sorry Delta Team that mission will have to wait.

For further information, stay tuned to the livestream channel...

(Update: All activities pushed back 1 hour ! Data has been collated and is ready for live video feeds at any time after 1400EDT)

1) Second KSC discovered - Delta Team enroute

2) Space Station Launch - KISS or the Kerbin International Space Station

3) KISS resupply missions - KISSUP 1, 2, 3 etc Missions

4)...

Website updates on hold due to time constraints...

We will be attempting to connect the 2 space station hubs together tonite; KISSUP 1 failed to connect to the main hub. After some thought the KISS hub will revert to the first resupply ship - it looks better HAHA !

We certainly had fun trying last nite and ran out of RCS - we will have alot more RCS this time around !

We will be looking at the v21 upgrades again and trying to implement them into the current mission.

Concurrent mission design is a reality with the 'ARG' mode of missions...(!) :)

Although most 'ARG' missions wont be live, the first one, the resupply launch, was ! We need to get over there and make sure the video is saved !

We believe the last nano-mag needing to be recovered is located on the moon as a short signal was recieved last nite in the radio observatory; the GSC is reporting that it seems to have been activated; we dont know how, and we dont know if Cmdr Zea will hear/see the signal on his equipment and assume it is functioning properly to return to the Kerbin System; if he uses it we fear he wont be returing but will be sent somewhere else in space and time.

Our priority is to get out there and find this headache of a chip.

Greetings from the KSC Offices

All is going well - we plan on space station work during the Earth time EST hours of the night for live stream video feeds.

There seems to have been a leak in an event going on; we cannot release any details, but the KISS missions are going well.

For the most part any work being done up there is posted on the live stream threads - stay tuned there for immediate updates !

We are not in contact with Cdr Zeta but have been informed that the GSC is in touch with him to the extent that they know he can receive messages and transmit on occasion; data is sketchy.

There was also word of some kind of a contest going on - them kerbal rabal rousers just dont know when to quit - they want to sneak in and get a free ride up there to outer space! Well they just might get their wish; something about a module and a craft and the KISS; we are slightly out of the loop over there at the secondary KSC.

At any rate we will also try to help over there in any way we can; they may be smart over there with all that top secret stuff goin on but they learnt the basics right here at the academy; I just wish we knew more about the teams working there.

Greetings,

We are pleased to inform our live stream viewers and general public that current missions to support our first space station are on schedule; well, ahead of schedule.

Necessary upgrades to systems are in process.

Commander Zeta is still lost in space - Commander Bill Kerman presiding. KSC launch and comms crews deployed...

The launch of the HTV-4 mockup at the secondary KSC went well it seems, with maneuvers having taken place.

The HTV-3 mockup was renamed as such, to further signify great international space relations; we arnt making many space waves with the secondary KSC; they seem to be interested in joint efforts up there.

We do speculate, and are careful to assess, the implications of their 'help', and am tying this in with the recent activities on Kerbin and Munar radio signals; but again we arnt making any space waves about it.

The HTV-3 mockup previously launched, was abit shaky - we launched it no less. Also we launched or tried to launch an exploration mission to Kerbol, our sun; 2 attempts were a total failure with 2 other stellites in low Kerbin orbit. We seem to have automation systems fails with the RCS; we are working the problem and may attempt another launch tonite.

Tonite there will be HTV-3 maneuvers to get the craft close to the station for docking; this will be a part-live event part-ARG mission; we expect operations to begin soon, possibly around 8PM Earth EST time barring any shortages in snack foods.

HTV-4 docking and birthing schedules remain: 0730 for capture and 0930 for docking maneuvers, with live stream operations to begin around 0600 EST Earth time.
