Oh this looks fun. Next question - how many decouplers can you stack before you have something that's too heavy to lift off?

Assuming we are not allowed to add parts to the craft, here is my entry with your craft for "max ground distance covered": 1576m

Actually, i think this comes down to timing and turning the probe correctly. Also, the probe is not always destroyed on impact and slides for some meters. How do you want to deal with that - measuring the exact impact ground distance is kind of difficult
