Installing Mods and Flags in 0.20

Recommended Posts

In short, which files/folders go where? It seems like mods that have been updated for 0.20 can just be extracted into their own folders under GameData, but I've got a number of un-updated mods that I'm not sure what precisely to do with, as they don't seem to be loading...

First check to see whether any of those mods have been updated to 0.20. Then if they have download the newest version and put it in the gamedata folder, if they haven't there is no guarantee that they will work, here are some of the mods that don't work with 0.20. If they do, however they should go in the folders labeled parts, plugins and so on, just like in 0.19

I recommend mod manager for mods. The fags question has already been answered.

Yep, older mods should still work fine if placed in the exact same spots that they have been. The flag images go in GameData\Squad\Flags. You can use png, jpg, and some others as well.

-some- older mods. Most of the ones I use have had issues. Some minor, others not so much.

...I thought it was /GameData/SomeOtherName/Flags ?

You can put them in the Squad folder, or use your own. I prefer to leave the Squad folder alone and create my own, because separating stock content from mods is pretty much the point of the new folder structure.
