How to add docking modules to the multi-port

Hi, I am trying to build my space station and i already launched the first part out of the three i am thinking to do... I want the middle (And second part) to have extra docking ports so i thought of using the multi-port. The problem is that i cannot find how to add the docking ports correctly... they do not turn around to face outwards (correctly).

Also i would like to ask what a space station should have... (right now i have 4 xl solar panels and 8 batteries). I would like to add space planes to it and even have a refuelling station that i can use to make sure i have enough fuel to make a base in the mun.

Have you tried using WASD to change the direction the port is facing?

also Q and E, to rotate the ports along additional axes.

You could try rotating the multi-port once or twice and then try adding the ports and if not could you upload some pictures???

It works now Thanks Commander Zoom and Macenzie. I could not figure that out ... Now i have to learn how to rendezvous the second part on the part already in orbit
