Kerbals , show your first designs!

If you still have them , it would be great to share your first designs.

Well , as you can see i had an obsession with fuel crossfeed because i didn't knew how it worked (and this made my rockets very inbalanced after burning through some the fuel *spinspin*).

This is my desperate atempt to reach orbit and leave a sattelite there.I still have one in orbit , reminds me of the good old days when i didn't understood a single thing.

"HAHA , now that i reached a stabble orbit i bet i can reach Mun".Foolish i was , that thing can't even reach 500m without flipping.

And this is the start of my better ships , also the 3rd rocket build (without putting into consideration the Mk 3,4,5,6 of the above "M.U.N."...).Also , this is the start of my creative names

Tested it recently.Thing's breaking through the atmosphere like there is no tomorrow.Right here i had over 1000m/s at 15-20km away from Kerbin.

Now , what were your first rockets/planes?

That Saramir sure is one fine looking craft. :)

I don't have my first design, because my first design was made from 90% mod parts, back before we had even a quarter of the parts we have today. It's sole function was to dump a satellite into LKO then return to Kerbin. It was about as tall as the launch tower and had the classy name "Phallus Mk. I"

Back in July or so on an account I can't even remember the name of, I posted a picture of me sending a rocket straight up to 100 KM to put a mod satellite into what I thought was orbit. I didn't know much about space back then... But that was when the game was totally free.

I give you the imaginatively named "Orbiter 1", from back in the single-digit versions (circa .8 or so):

Note that the command pod is a classic three-kerbal Mk I, with a replacement model (by Silisko, I believe); this is from before we had an actual one-kerb pod, which my more recent "first try" rockets have in a nod to the Mercury program.

See that bottom stage? That's six old stock SRBs, glued together. No struts, no symmetry, just surface attachment and best-guess hand placement. It's a wonder the thing flew at all. A later, saner revision hung them off the liquid fuel tanks with radial decouplers, making the stack shorter and wider.

Picked up the game a little less than week ago when it was mentioned over at RPS. After a trip to Mun and some other messing around I decided it was time to design some way to put the heavy stuff in orbit before starting on a station or base. It's hard to get a close up but this is the result of quite a few days work...

... not bad, so far it gets the two red tanks to orbit totally full of fuel and 200 to 400 litres (?) remaining in previous stage's Rockomax X200-32.

Disclaimer:

I did play the KSP demo way back in time - I did not have a fun time with the designer back then - so, this is not perhaps my 'first ship' ever but, hay, just got it working nicely today and really happy to find a place to share it.
