Hylidae Litoria - Rocket Frogs Launcher Family - Jump into orbit

Recommended Posts

Ladies and Gentlemen, Jodelstein Rocket Productions proudly present a new family of launch vehicles:

Litoria - The Rocket Frog Family
After intense studies of these extraordinary animals, our engineers decided they had to copy their crouch-and-jump mechanism to jump into space. Today, the first prototypes have passed the verification flights and are hereby released into public.

Features:
- Sitting on the launchpad like a frog
- Thrilling semi-automatic uprighting mechanism
- Characteristic flight phase with two long outstretched legs
- Designed to reach 75km orbit with 200m/s left for LKO operations and deorbiting
- Subassembly loader compatible - just detach the lifter from the proofing payload and save it as a subassembly

(Part count includes proofing payload)

Instructions:
- Full throttle and launch
- Get the rocket into a vertical position (stage decouples the arms, Flotator uses Action Group "1") - You might want to practice this step with some inexpensive dummy payloads :)
- Stage whenever tanks burn out, use throttle control your accelleration
- Initiate gravity turn at ~20km
- ...
- Profit!

Stay tuned for more Rocket Frogs! Litoria Dorsalis (2t), Litoria Nubicola (20t) and Litoria Longirostris (150t) are currently under development Edited by SirJodelstein

I'd love your permission to add these to the Kerbalife Catalogue when I update it to complement the Elephant (180 to 220 tons) and Mammoth (240 to 500 tons) series. I see another naturalist has taken an interest in organic design :)

Sure, go ahead.
