Colonel Gaddafi Killed

For the record, RSA has decided that they don\'t want to give up on the NATO market just yet, and as such, has started marketing the AK-101 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AK-101) as part of their upgraded AK-10x series. The 101 is an AK-74 chambered in NATO-standard 5.56x45mm ammunition, and available either as a new rifle or as a conversion kit that allows the owner of an AK-47 or AK-74 to convert it over to NATO ammunition; the conversion kit has been very popular with nations of the former Warsaw Pact that have joined NATO, because it allows them to switch to NATO-standard ammunition without completely replacing their stockpiles of rifles, and without having to extensively train their troops on the new rifles. 'OK, boys, we\'re using a new round, it\'s six millimeters longer and a little bit heavier, but otherwise, your new rifles are exactly the same as your old ones, so don\'t worry about having to relearn how to use them.'

So there\'s a very good chance that you\'ll see a number of NATO countries using Kalashnikovs for many years to come...
