How do I install mods in .20?

If the mod is updated for .20 just drag the parent mod folder it into the GameData folder and it should be ready. Older mods are installed the same way as before.

Just my thing, I do it on all forums that I register with. I find it easier on the eyes against the white background. I also like the colour

Can you do a step by step? the mod im using has a game data and a ships, where do i put those?

Most mods will contain a folder structure identical to the KSP program folder. Copy the content of the mod into the KSP program folder and it will ask you if you want to merge the folders, select yes, and it will recursively place all the mod's files in the corresponding places in the KSP program folder.

Just being verbose so you get it. Please ask if anything is not clear

• Step one is download and unzip the mod file.
  
• Step two is to open the folders until you get to GameData. The folder directly inside this (usually the name of the mod or mod author's name) is what you want to drag into the GameData folder in the KSP directory.
  
• Step three is put the ships from the mod folder into the Ships folder on the first list of folders in the KSP directory.

er, well, ok, step by step:

1) put the files in the mods gamedata folder into ... <ksp_folder>\gamedata

2) put the files in the mods ships folder into ... <ksp_folder>\ships

I am having trouble figuring out how to install the mods when my game is in the steam client. There must be one more step to this, on a Mac.
