Just a little something I whipped up today. Still working on it, but for a 2 hour job (mostly me swearing at Maya) I am rather impressed with it. The atmosphere effect needs an overhaul.

Looks cool! I think some sort of backdrop is needed though. The mountains also look a bit "gritty" to me. All around, great job!

maybe some atmosphere "shield effect" (sorry that find the word i'm looking for) would be nice on the second pic

You are quite right! It had an atmosphere effect when it came out of Maya, but it has since disappeared after I applied the lens flare and background...hmmm I misplaced Kerbin's atmosphere....

Are.. Are those, cities? On the dark side? Visible due to the light they produce?
