Bump mapping? Types of shaders?

So I'm new to modeling, but I saw the parttools plugin has a whole bunch of options.

My question would be: What kind of options do I have when it comes to texturing and materials in KSP?

I know this is a broad question, but I couldn't find any information on the subject.

Yeah didn't get it at first. I guess the KSP shaders are similar in how you use them as the unity shaders. I guess I just need to read up on shader types.

But cool you can do normal mapping!
