Help editing the save file to cover one of my screw ups

Recommended Posts

Hey guys

I recently set up a small laythe base, but much to my dismay found that I'd forgotten to fill the storage container with kerbals!

I really can't be bothered to send another mission, so I was wondering if anyone knew what and where I would have to edit to spawn in some kerbals.

Then we can just pretend this whole mess never happened :wink:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Before doing any of the below, be sure to copy the persistence file for a backup!

Hmm.... I need to refresh how pods work, but here is what I would do. On Kerbal, set up and equal pod and fill it with the kerbals you want up on laythe. Copy the crew and crew related info into your container on laythe. This can all be done in a quicksave or persistence file.

That worked nicely, you have my thanks.

Don't forget to make sure that the kerbals in question have their state set to 1 (in flight). If it's still 0, they'll show up on new flights...and on Laythe too. It forgets to change that sometimes...

States:

0=available

1=in flight

2=???

3=Dead
