So I decided to make a "Carrier" or Mobile Station of sorrts. Bigger ship, with "fighters" and landers attached. Here is video of me putting the center in orbit and then docking the two "Pickle Fighters."

I'm basically going to write out a mission report in the form that it would be sent into HQ.

Mission Statement:

To design, launch and operate an Interplanetary Carrier, Capable of traveling with our[Kerbin] system.

Goals: (In order via priority)

1.{Completed} Design/Launch Center Structure into orbit. Must contain 4 Small and 4 Medium Docking ports. The 4 Small ones must be inside the ship and accessible via a 1 meter diameter ship with some wiggle room. Main Engine on center section must be removable for later replacement with a Tri-Nuclear Engine Section.

2. {Completed} Design and Launch two fighters of the same type and attach them inside the ship via small docking ports. Fighters must have IVA Accessible cockpit for maximum effectiveness, also fighters must be able to fly on RCS or BP-119 Rocket fuel[regular rocket fuel] and be able to switch from one to the other during flight.

3. {ETA 1 day}Design Robotic or Manned "forklift"{Via EVA CHAIR}. Once designed, launch two and attach to center Section for EVA's that involve moving heavy objects.

4. { ETA 1 day} Remove Center Section's "Skipper" engine, replace with a Tri-Nuclear Engine Cluster. [May require moving entire ship to attach].

5. {ETA 3 days} Refuel Center Section using GS343 Shuttle

6. {ETA< 8 months} Enter Mun Orbit and Dock with Munar Lander mk1. Retrieve Jebediah.

7. {ETA 8 months} Leave Kerbin Orbit, head for 150km Duna Orbit. Once there wait for further Instructions.

Also, anyone elses posts counts off? I used to have a couple hundred? weird.....

First video of Tasks 1 and 2.

I like your design and video. With different camera views , especially from cockpit, you get the impression watching SC-fi movie. I like a transfusion of fuel to the central stage, for better stability.

Will there be a second part? I would like to see how this setup works in another celestial body orbit.
