Control surfaces and built-in ailerons

Recommended Posts

I was curious how I would get control surfaces and built-in ailerons to work in game...

I already have the models made and imported into unity. I could not find any resources on this forum or anywhere else. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Ok, I was looking at some of the older mods and found that if you rename the part of the model that you want to move, i.e. the control surface, to "obj_ctrlSrf" then it will work.. Is this the proper way, or is it becoming obsolete like "node_collider"?

Is this the proper way

For now yes, the control surfaces/winglets are old code, they're expected to get an overhaul in the way they produce lift and drag which is presumably why they haven't been transitioned to the PartModule system like everything else.
