Oh, I love that game!

Its a little tricky to master though, all the AI's are crazy with weapons.

But yes, I have that game on steam.

The relatively hands-off combat was a deal breaker for some, (and is significantly expanded upon in the DLC) but I think it's a nice break from the empire micromanagement.

Note that this video is old, well before the add-ons even.

Great indie title. They let you vote on many things during development (What features you want the most etc.). I bought the alpha when it first came out on steam and since then they added 200% more content.

That was really cool, think I have 1010 g2g right now. It's all the little details they did to make this game shine.

I enjoyed the game when I played it a year ago but the expansion hasnt addressed anything that I was wanting added/changed - it doesnt add animated aliens to talk to during diplomacy, nor animated assaults and invasions, nor more events or adding much better use of heroes. All it seems to have added is fighters and bombers, yet another race (meh) and some more tinkering to the game (again). Big chance to completely enhance the game in all its lacking areas has been completely screwed up AFAIAC.

Big shame, I have played the original game for 75 hours from beta through release, and am STILL looking for a reason to get back into it again. But this aint it.

Well there are no real alternatives.

Stardrive was a huge disappointment for me. Yes it has neat 10 second animations of ultra generic aliens (space wolves called wolvar wow creative overload). But the rest of the game is completely bland except for the ship building part (which gets tedious for the very fat ships).

Oh by the way:

Endless Space is the steam weekend deal for 10€.

Just curious how hard is it to get voice actors for an indy game? With a bare bones one per faction to keep them unique, that's 11 actors all of which have to be paid.
